Studio Terms & Conditions
Effective January 2024
Welcome to PoleCouture! By enrolling in our classes, using our facilities, or participating in any PoleCouture services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Safety & Participation
By enrolling at PoleCouture Pole Dancing Studio (located in Christie Downs, South Australia), you agree to:

Follow all safety cues and instructions provided by your instructor.

Use safety equipment as advised — failure to do so may result in removal from class.

Participate in warm-ups and safety briefings prior to each class.

Arrive on time. Late arrivals may be refused entry for safety reasons.

Disclose any illness, injury, or health condition before class.
-
Participate in a safe and respectful manner toward others.
-
Failure to comply may result in removal from class or from the studio.
Drug & Alcohol Policy
PoleCouture enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy on drugs and alcohol:

You must have a zero reading when attending the studio.

No pole activity is permitted under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

If you are found to be under the influence or have used pole equipment while impaired, your enrolment may be terminated.
If you’ve recently used substances but are no longer under the influence, you must inform your instructor for safety.
Photography & Social Media

We may take photos during classes for promotional use. If you do not wish to appear in any photos, you must notify us in writing.

You must inform other students if you don’t wish to appear in their social media.
-
Always seek consent from fellow students before sharing any media that includes them.
Personal Conduct & Studio Etiquette
While at PoleCouture, you are expected to:

Conduct yourself in a calm and safe manner (no running, no phone use while walking, clean any spills).

Notify us of any hazards or safety issues immediately.
-
Refrain from giving advice or instruction to other students — this could result in liability and removal.

Respect everyone’s space, time, and learning.
Medical & Emergency Protocol

All injuries must be reported to staff immediately.
-
Head injuries require assessment at Noarlunga Hospital.
-
You are not permitted to drive after a head injury — doing so voids any coverage provided by PoleCouture.

PoleCouture covers ambulance costs in the event of serious injury.
-
An incident report and medical disclosure may be required for insurance purposes.

All students must provide the following:

Membership & Class Pass
Membership & Fees
Weekly Membership: $92/week, includes up to 5 classes.
8-Week term: $202 per term, includes one class a week.
Permanent Booking for Pole Classes: $25 per class.
Practice Sessions:
$15 per session.
Discounted to $10 if you're attending classes during the same week.
If you attend a discounted practice session and later cancel your class that week, the $10 difference will be added to your next invoice.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees.
Late cancellations (under 24 hours’ notice) will result in the class being forfeited.
No-shows result in the class being forfeited.
By providing your credit card details and continuing your membership, you authorise PoleCouture to charge the full membership rate to your card in the event of a late cancellation, no-show, or failed cash payment.
We understand that unexpected events happen. If you believe your cancellation was due to circumstances beyond your control, please contact us promptly so we can assess it fairly.
Membership Pauses

You may pause your membership for multiple weeks with 2 weeks' written notice.

Please include the exact pause dates in your request.

Your class spot will be held and no payments will be taken during the pause.
Membership cannot be selectively applied week to week based on availability.
Catch-Up Classes

If you’re away for a week, you may make up missed classes within 60 days if you hold a weekly membership.
-
You may make up missed classes within the term if you hold a term pass.
-
Catch-ups apply to current class pass holders only and must be used while your membership is active.
-
No refunds will be provided for unused classes unless previously arranged.
Private Lessons & Nutrition Coaching

A $40 deposit is required to secure your booking.
-
Cancelling with less than 24 hours’ notice results in forfeiture of the deposit.
-
With more than 24 hours’ notice, your session may be rescheduled without penalty.
NDIS Support
PoleCouture supports eligible students through the NDIS. Contact us for invoicing and custom arrangements.
Equipment & Grip Aids
-
Griptinite, knee pads, and Pleaser heels available for purchase.
-
You are required to buy your own grip and knee pads after your 2-week trial.
-
iTac and Monkey Hands are not allowed.
-
You must clean and put away all equipment after use.
Crash Mats & Risk Acceptance

Crash mats are strongly encouraged and must be used during appropriate moves.
-
Pole is a high-risk activity — participation is at your own risk.
-
Injuries sustained without a crash mat may not be covered.
Waiver of Liability
By attending PoleCouture, you agree to:

Accept full responsibility for your participation and safety.
-
Waive all claims against PoleCouture, its staff, and instructors.
-
Complete a signed waiver and injury report (if applicable).
